Warm Weather Conditions

During the Very Warm Weather Conditions and until further notice - students are not required to bring their blazer to school. If they do wear it, the blazer can be removed in classes, and may be carried in corridors and outdoor spaces. They must still wear a school shirt and tie, with uniform trousers , skirt and shoes.

Coats should still not be worn inside school.

The breaks in outdoor spaces may require children to use sun screen if they are susceptible to sunburn. They may bring a small supply for personal use.

Students are encouraged to bring adequate, full, water containers to meet their hydration needs during the day.

At Royton and Crompton School, we understand that the transition from Year 6 into Year 7 can be a worrying time for parents and students.  On this basis, we try to create opportunities for Year 6 students to come into Royton and Crompton School prior to starting in September, so that they start to build their confidence in a secondary school environment.

Some students can worry about starting secondary school over the summer holidays, therefore we invite all students to spend 2 days  with us in the summer term.  This year, the Year 6 into Year 7 Transition Days are being held on Wednesday 4th July and Thursday 5thJuly 2018.  Attendance at this day enables students to meet their tutor, peers, some of their teachers, as well as find out how lunchtime works, so they can relax over the summer holiday and feel more confident for September.

Parents and carers will all receive additional  information over the coming weeks inviting them to Royton and Crompton School on Thursday 5thJuly,in order to hear from our Head teacher, ask questions and meet Year 7 form tutors.

Welcome to our website. I hope that this will help you to easily access information about our school.

Royton and Crompton school is an improving school. We are instilling the ethos of Respect, Community and Self to our pupils by having high expectations and insist on high standards: we expect all of our pupils to work with a fantastic attitude to learning and to behave in a way which shows respect to themselves and others.

In September 2019 we will be moving into our brand new building, which was the result of fourteen million pounds worth of investment. This will provide our pupils and the local community with state of the art facilities in all subject areas which will enable us to further develop the academic, cultural and sporting interests of our pupils in an attractive modern environment.

I hope that this website helps you share the vision of our school. If you would like to know more about Royton and Crompton, please do not hesitate to contact us by telephone, email or arrange a visit.

Please use the links below for Newsletters. These will be regularly uploaded to ensure all the exciting developments at Royton and Crompton can be shared with parents and the local community.
